Hello Beautiful

Let's do the bad news first:

This is the last picture you will ever see posted on this blog taken with our Canon powershot camera:

Hello Beautiful

The fantastic news is I am now the proud owner of this little beauty! I can't wait to learn all about it and start taking pictures!

Yay!

Genevieve, you DESERVE one of these so much more than I do... I saw the pictures you took of Lu's little guy and they were amazing! I think you should treat yourself! Only $499 at Costco.com!!

Nice!!! Is that the D40? I have the D50 (the same as the D40, just the previous model) and I looooooove it. I still need to learn to really use mine - I don't know much about photography, as far as using the camera's manual settings, and I really want to learn.

Can't wait to see pics with your lovely new toy! :)

Yes, it's the D40! Carrie, I am just a novice when it comes to photography, but I also really want to learn! I have this amazing family that I want to document, and the crappy five year old digital camera just wasn't cutting it!

I am so excited to experiment!

It's about dern time! I can't believe it has taken you this long. I know how much you drooled over ours back in March. I hope you enjoy it and I'm looking forward seeing many wonderful pictures on your blog with ever increasing frequency.

PS I/we looking forward to your visit this weekend.

You lucky gal! I have the D50 and I LOVE it.

The manual that comes with it is your friend, by the way. Carry it everywhere. I've lost track of the number of times I've been using Manual mode and referred to it for help!

I love hearing the feedback from those who I consider to be such excellent photographers!

I can't wait to start posting more pics!
