Well, now that Margot is on the mend, Ben and I are knee deep in snot and stuffy heads. I feel terrible, and even called in sick to work today for the first time in a year. The only good thing about this is Margot has been hand holding, stroking my face and doling out kisses like crazy. Slobbery toddler kisses may not cure a sore throat, but they sure do cure a cranky Mama.
On a side note, how the hell do parents cope out there when they are sick and the kids want to go? I am especially eager to hear from those of you who don't watch TV.... Am I missing something?? Any ideas?

this would be the perfect time to call Gramma!
well....aside from tv, one thing that worked great the last time I was down....buy a brand spanking new toy!(don't get up mamma, send Ben!)
she will be so enthralled with it she won't leave it alone until about the time you're feeling normal again.
feel better soon, guys!
In my opinion when Mom AND Dad are sick all rules go out the window. I would let her watch "Real World, Hells Angels Edition" and "Pussycat Dolls Present: Search for the Next Doll" if it gave me a moment to relish in my misery and start feeling a little better. Get well soon!
Deb, I love you!
A good laugh usually helps matters as well. :)
I love ya too Housten! Hang in there and get some rest!
Now, if only I could spell Houston...
I agree about calling Grandma! That's what saved me when both of us were down and Millie wanted to be on the move. When Grandma wasn't watching her, we read LOTS of books, and she did lots of playing on the floor while I laid on the couch or her bed. And normally I hate taking medicine, but that helped me deal too! ;)
Hang in there... that is soooo hard to be sick when your babe is well and energetic! Hopefully you're both feeling better soon!
Feel better soon! I am thinking of paying all you Portland people a visit mid April if you will be around. love you guys!!!
