This past weekend, we were blessed with a visit from my brother and his family. They have three kids under 6, so we knew there would be a little pandemonium. The tantrums, tears, and exhaustion were expected - but what I did not expect was how my heart would warm watching the kids play together and enjoy their family.
Margot LOVES her cousins. As in, I have to hold your hand at all times love:
Zoe is Jason and Kalurah's oldest and only daughter. She is quite possibly one of the sweetest little girls I have ever met, and she was so cute playing with Margot that Ben and I may have discussed ways to try and keep her.
Zach and Zander are the gritty boys, and they are all boy. I am not used to boys and the noises they make, always grunting or imitating an engine of some sort. Margot also seemed a little surprised at the way they were roughing around the house, but it didn't take long until she was right there with them, flinging toys and then crawling up the slide.
The highlight of the visit was a trip to the Oregon Zoo. It was a beautiful day, and we really had fun. Jason and Kalurah have the most awesome Nikon camera ever, and were able to steal a few moments to take these amazing photos:
Being around the kids really made me think about expanding our family. It made me wish that we had tried to have another baby right away, so Margot would have a sibling to be playing with right now. I know in my heart that I could not have mentally handled another pregnancy right after Margot, but I am starting to feel more and more like it may be time to dive back in and try for another junior.
We are so happy to be closer to our family and had such a great time. My brother has an amazing wife and terrific children. Thanks for visiting and we love you guys!
