One step forward equals many steps back

Margot and Ben stayed in today all day, mostly to concentrate efforts on the potty. It was not a good day. Margot peed on my gym bag, the floor, her panties, and just about anything else that would stand still long enough. After having a promising week not long ago, this was sort of a bummer. We know that this is a tough process for lots of kiddos and can be full of good and bad days, but today was a bit frustrating for Ben.

It seems that Margot doesn't want to pee in the potty right now. She will hold it for as long as possible, and then ask for a diaper or pee (on my gym bag, the floor, her panties, etc). I am not sure what has changed, but we will keep trudging along and keep in mind that nobody graduates from high school wearing a diaper.

She had a long weekend with no naps, late nights and lots to do. Maybe she was just too tired today; I know Mommy and Daddy sure are tired right now!

We've been going through the same thing here... she totally knows when she has to go, but her desire to actually go on the potty isn't very consistent! I'm thinking she's just not quite ready, and that's OK.

Hang in there!! You guys are awesome parents. :)

By the way, I'm LOVING this every-day posting... lots of fun. :)
