There have been many adorable and important new developments to Margot in the past few weeks. She now has two teeth, walks, and once even faked (possibly) a sad face when I didn't let her play with an outlet like she wanted. The newest is her "R" sound. Sometimes she roars and sometimes she barks, but when she uses this new sound, it's completely adorable.
She had a less adorable week last week when she would only take one nap per day and then be cranky for the last four hours she was up. I think it was my fault, though, because we would go out and about and when we came home, she was asleep in the car. That ten minute power nap was enough to prevent her from napping for the rest of the day, so now we go out right after a nap instead of right before, and things have been better. So far.
We're trying to work grown-up food into her diet. It's kind of difficult because I usually eat non-baby-friendly things, like chips and salad, so I'm trying to figure out how to eat things we both would like. It shouldn't be hard. She definitely like flavorful things. She likes hummus and goat cheese and went crazy for curry when she had that. Of course, cooking a whole meal for me when only a couple of tablespoons go to her isn't very motivating, but I'm working on it.
And now we're looking for a house. If you know of any inexpensive, nice houses near Mall 205 in a good neighborhood, let us know. Right now, we're just hoping for a miracle.
